I love flowers. I love the life and colour they bring to the room. I love receiving them (although that doesn’t happen very often anymore!) and I love treating myself to them every now and then. The one thing I don’t love is how bad I am at keeping them alive!

When I saw that the topic for today’s post was flowers, I had so many ideas of posts I could do…but none of them really inspired me. So instead I had a think about what my favourite flowers are:

  • Sunflower bloomingSunflowers
  • Shasta Daisies
  • Gypsophila
  • Cherry Blossom
  • Gerbera Daisies
  • Dahlias

I love flowers that are bright and bold, and flowers that hold a meaning. Take Gypsophila for example. It may not be bright and bold like the others, but it is certainly one of the most beautiful. It is also one that holds great meaning for me now, as it was my bouquet for my sister’s wedding.

I love most types of daisies, but Shasta and Gerbera and the common daisy are my favourites. Snapdragons and Sweet Peas hold special memories for me, as they remind me of growing up – our garden, and my grandparents’ garden.

What are your favourite flowers? Do they hold any special meaning to you?
